Challenge

Our goal was to design & develop a companion app for the Yarra 3DX soundbar that runs on smartphones, iPhones, iPads, and Android tablets.

We were happy to cooperate on this IoT project with Comhear which is an award-winning San Diego startup.

Solution

The app we created allows users to manage, customize, and configure wirelessly Yarra 3DX soundbar, giving them complete control over the spatial distribution of the sound and mastering equalizer settings.

Customize EQ settings

Make your audio experience perfect by customizing Equalizer settings – individually for normal, music, movie and game mode

Add new preset

Save your preferences by adding them to a presets list. All setting can be stored and recalled from internal memory for quick setup.

Set the position and number of listeners

The system provides individual sound beams for up to three listeners. For more listeners, you can switch to stereo mode

Switch between near and far field

The soundbar can deliver “near field” or “far field” beams depending on a users distance from the device

Choose led color

The Yarra 3DX has soft colored lights – you can switch them on & off, and change colors as you wish

Select and set HRTF filters

Select and set Head Related Transfer Function (HRTF) filters to enjoy 3D immersive listening
